Eltham Martial Arts Academy started its life in the Eltham Leisure Center under Shihan George Kolovos back in 1990. At this time he was also running two other successful Dojos located in Essendon and Melbourne. As the Eltham Martial Arts Academy outgrew the leisure center, Shihan George Kolovos moved to full time premises at Brougham St Eltham. This is where Sempai Kiley started training in 1994.

After obtaining her Black Belt in 1999, Sempai Kiley was offered a full time teaching position under Shihan George Kolovos. This involved taking classes in Thai Bo, Titans Kickboxing and Kyokushin Karate at the Melbourne Dojo, as well as teaching Karate at Eltham Martial Arts Academy, Northcote and Coburg Dojos.

In 2001, the Brougham St location was destroyed by fire and at this time Shihan George Kolovos was forced to decide to either rebuild Eltham Martial Arts Academy or move locations and start again. In the end the Dojo was offered to Sempai Kiley who relocated it to Research Primary School Hall and had been teaching there for seven years before moving to full-time premises.

The Dojo is now located at 9/1625 Main Road Research, offering full-time classes in a range of striking and ground-defence arts, general fitness and conditioning as well as access to a fully equipped functional gym.
